You own your data, and you can have your Wealora account and everything in it permanently deleted at any time. This page explains how to do it and exactly what happens to your information.

1. Delete it yourself, from the app

This is the fastest route and needs nobody's help. In the Android app or the web app (app.wealora.in, works in any phone browser too):

  1. Sign in and open Profile (the account icon at the top right).
  2. At the bottom of the Profile screen, near Sign out, tap Delete account.
  3. Tell us briefly why you're leaving, then type your account email address to confirm.
  4. Confirm. Your account is now scheduled for deletion — see the grace period below.

You'll get a confirmation email the moment the request is made.

2. Can't sign in? Ask us by email

If you've lost access to your account and can't reset your password, email support@wealora.in from the email address the account is registered under with the subject line "Delete my account". We use the sending address to verify it's really you, then schedule the deletion the same way and reply to confirm. We action these within 7 business days. You can also use our contact form.

3. The 7-day grace period

Deleting an account can't be undone, so we don't do it instantly. When you request deletion:

  • Your account is scheduled for permanent deletion 7 days later.
  • During those 7 days you can cancel at any time — log in to the web app and use the banner shown at the top, or simply reply to the confirmation email / write to support@wealora.in. Nothing has been deleted yet.
  • Once the 7 days pass, an automated job permanently erases everything listed below from our active systems. After that point it cannot be recovered.

4. What gets permanently deleted

Everything tied to your account is removed — there is no "archived" copy kept for our own use:

  • Your profile & login — name, email, password, country, base currency, plan/trial status and billing history, saved sign-in sessions, and any linked mobile devices used for notifications.
  • Bank & wallet accounts and every cash transaction, deposit, withdrawal and transfer on them.
  • Broker accounts and all stock, mutual-fund and crypto holdings and their buy/sell history.
  • Gold & silver items, their purchase and sale records, and any exchange history between pieces.
  • Real estate entries and their rental-income records.
  • Other assets — fixed deposits, PF, vehicles, money you've lent, and their contribution history.
  • Loans — every loan, its EMI/payment history, and any gold or property pledged as collateral against it.
  • Goals and their linked-account tracking.
  • Uploaded files — every photo and bill copy you attached to a gold/silver item or other record.
  • Support history — your support tickets, their messages and attachments.
  • Notification preferences and any family-sharing links to or from your account.
  • Net-worth history — the daily snapshots used to draw your trend charts and returns.

Wealora never connects to your real bank, broker or card accounts, so there is nothing to "disconnect" — every figure above is data you entered yourself, and all of it is destroyed.

5. What we keep, and for how long

A small amount of information may survive the deletion of your account, only where the law or basic fraud-prevention requires it:

  • Payment records. If you ever paid for Plus, our payment partner (Razorpay) and our own accounting are required to retain transaction records (amount, date, transaction ID) for the period set by tax and financial-regulation law. These are kept separately from your portfolio data and are not used for any other purpose.
  • Encrypted backups. Our database backups rotate automatically; a residual copy of your data may persist in an encrypted backup for up to 35 days after deletion, after which it is overwritten. Backups are never used except to recover from a disaster.
  • Anonymised/aggregate data. Server logs and product analytics that don't identify you personally may be retained for security and to understand overall usage.

We do not keep your portfolio, holdings, transactions, files or any personally identifiable profile data beyond the windows above.

6. Data held by third parties

Deleting your Wealora account removes your data from Wealora. Where we've shared limited data with a processor to run the Service, deletion propagates as follows:

  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — your device push tokens are deleted with your account; Google expires unused tokens on its side automatically.
  • Email provider — transactional emails already sent (welcome, verification, the deletion confirmation itself) remain in your own inbox and in the provider's delivery logs for their standard short retention period.
  • Razorpay — see payment records above.

Full detail on every processor we use is in our Privacy Policy.
