What makes Wealora different

Your gold, tracked from the billing counter to the day you sell it.

Most tools treat gold as one number you type in and forget. Wealora treats every piece as something with a life — a purchase, a rate, a bill, a changing value, and eventually an exchange, a loan, a gift or a sale. All of it recorded, all in one place.

Why gold needs its own system

A spreadsheet cell can't hold a gold purchase.

Gold isn't like a stock. You didn't buy "10 grams" — you bought a specific chain, at a specific rate, with making and wastage charges on top, on a bill that's now folded in a drawer. A year later you can't remember the purity, what you actually paid, or whether that piece was the one you exchanged at the last wedding.

Then there's everything that happens after the purchase. Old jewellery gets melted into new. A loan gets taken against the locker. Pieces are gifted at every function and received back at the next. Some of it eventually gets sold — often years later, at a rate nobody wrote down, sometimes in a different city or currency.

Wealora is built to hold all of that, per piece, for as long as you own it.

The full lifecycle

One piece of gold, tracked end to end

Every stage below is a real thing Wealora records — not a note you type, a proper entry that keeps your grams, value and history correct.

1  Buy

Record the piece, its weight and purity, the per-gram rate, making & wastage charges and the final bill amount. Attach a photo of the item and a scan of the bill.

2  Hold & value

Live gold and silver rates keep each piece's current value up to date, so you can see gain or loss against what you paid — charges included.

3  Exchange

Melt old pieces into a new one. Wealora records the grams used from each, the jeweller's valuation, and any cash paid on top or refunded — old marked exchanged, grams stay right.

4  Borrow against it

A gold loan taken against your holdings is tracked as a liability with its EMI schedule and due-date reminders — your net worth shows both the gold and what you owe on it.

5  Gift or receive

Mark a piece gifted — with who, the occasion and the date — and it leaves your net worth but stays in your history. Gold received is logged the same way, with who gave it.

6  Sell

Record the sale — grams, rate, date, even a different currency than you bought in. Wealora works out the profit or loss and credits the proceeds to the account you choose.

What Wealora captures at purchase

The whole bill, not just a number

Weight & purity

Grams and karat/fineness for each piece, so totals are always in real weight.

Rate & charges

The per-gram rate you paid, plus making and wastage charges kept separate from metal value.

Final bill

The actual amount paid — the number that matters when you work out real gain later.

Bill & item photo

Upload the bill scan and a photo of the piece, stored privately against that entry.

How you paid

Cash or bank (the transaction is recorded), credit card (a loan is created to track it), or received as a gift.

Where it is

A note of the locker, city or country the piece is kept in.

Jeweller & date

Who you bought from and when — the context you'll want years on.

Occasion

The wedding, festival or milestone the piece is tied to, if any.

One permanent ID per piece

Every item gets an ID that never changes

The moment you add a piece, Wealora gives it a permanent Wealora ID. That ID stays with it for life — through every price update, every exchange, a loan, a gift, right up to the sale. Your history never gets tangled, and on Plus you can look any piece up by its ID in seconds.

Common questions

How the tricky parts work

Can I track old jewellery exchanged for new?
Yes. An exchange records how many grams came from each old piece, what the jeweller valued them at, and any cash paid on top or refunded to you. The old piece is marked exchanged, the new one carries the link back to it, and your total grams and purchase history stay accurate throughout.
Can I track a gold loan?
Yes. A gold loan taken against your holdings is tracked as a liability with its EMI schedule and due-date reminders, so your net worth reflects both the gold you hold and what you owe against it. A purchase put on a credit card also auto-creates a loan so that liability isn't missed.
What about gold I gift, or receive at a function?
Mark a piece as gifted and record who it went to, the occasion and the date — it leaves your net worth but stays in your history. Gold received as a gift is added the same way, noting who gave it, so over the years you can see the give-and-take across weddings and festivals.
Can I sell in a different currency than I bought in?
Yes. A sale can be priced in a different currency than the original purchase — bought in one country, sold in another. Wealora records the sale currency, works out the profit or loss, and credits the proceeds to the account you pick.
How current is the value?
For gold and silver, Plus accounts get live per-gram rates refreshed through the day; Free accounts update the rate manually whenever they like. For a piece with no live rate — a diamond one, say — you set the value yourself and Wealora leaves your figure untouched.
